Takehiko Ono | Director, Globis Capital Partners

Takehiko Ono is a venture capitalist, author and executive talent advisor. His work centers on human potential and how to unlock it, and on how companies can find such people. He has pursued this for nearly 20 years, in management, executive search and venture investing.

At Globis Capital Partners, one of the venture capital firms with the largest asset base in Japan, he supports portfolio companies in leadership development and organization building.

He is the author of two books on hiring and talent in Japan, and writes and speaks on leadership, people and AI.

Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Egon Zehnder, the global executive search firm, where he spent ten years headhunting and assessing senior executives. He then joined ZOZO, the fashion e-commerce giant, where he headed new business development and led the launch of ZOZOSUIT, an AI-based body size scanning product.

Before that, he founded an internet startup that was later acquired by Rakuten, and began his career in strategy consulting at Accenture.

He graduated from the School of Commerce at Waseda University and holds an MBA from Bocconi University in Milan. He is also a FIFA licensed football agent.
